Since 1991
Inspired by social movements of the past, National Action Network began in 1991 when Rev. Al Sharpton decided to organize and make an impact. Pretty quickly, this singular moment evolved into a full-fledged movement. His Activist National Organization challenges the status quo, holding our leaders accountable and fighting for solutions that will transform society.

The city is renovating the center on the west side with plans to create a recreation center. In a surprise to a longtime community activist Helen Moore, Duggan plans to name it after her. (April 17, 2024)

Councilwoman Mary Waters has received an endorsement from Mayor Duggan for the 13th Congressional District. In addition, Waters has requested an investigation by the Ethics office regarding Shri's actions.
